Gol e Gohar Mining and Industrial Company has chosen VADATEC Consortium comprising of the Iranian Company Varia Tarh Pars and the Italian Companies ECOMIN and DARYATEC with the leadership of Varia Tarh Pars as the Consulting Body for the Master Plan Studies of the Gol e Gohar Mining and Industrial Complex in Sirjan.

A group of professors from the Environmental Faculty of Tehran University for the environmental , architectural and landscaping studies , Amoodrah Company for roads and railways and the Academic Group from the Center for the Forestry and Pastures Research have also collaborated with VADATEC Consortium.

For realizing the aims and performing the studies, the Master Plan has been divided into the following disciplines:

1. The project for the development and plot plan of Gol e Gohar Mining and Industrial Complex.
2. The projects for expansion of the mines , processing lines, pelletizing and management of tailings.
3. Direct reduction and steel making lines and production of flat and long products.
4. The expansion infrastructure projects for water, electricity, gas, surface water, traffic, roads and railways and transport of the materials in the Complex.
5. The study of environmental compound effects, health and safety of the Complex
6. The project for green areas and the choice of the plant species suitable for the Zone.
7. The plot plans and architectural studies for the Complex.
8. The supporting industries for the Zone.
9. Financial planning of the expansion projects for the Zone.

The area for the Master Plan Studies is about 19,000 hectars and is limited to:
Sirjan -Shiraz road in the north , Gol e Gohar Railway station in the east, Bahram Goor Protected Area in the west and a range of mountains in the south.
